Introduction

We are looking for a very strong Senior React Native & Node.js Developer to join our engineering team and take day-to-day technical ownership of our mobile apps and backend services.

This is a hands-on senior role with a clear path to growing into a Tech Lead position within ~6–12 months. Over time, and for the right person, the scope can grow further based on impact, ownership, and company needs.

Responsibilities

• Own the development and maintenance of our mobile apps (iOS & Android) using React Native
• Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js
• Take ownership of day-to-day technical and architectural decisions
• Balance technical quality, delivery speed, and product impact when making trade-offs
• Drive and enforce high standards for code quality, testing, and maintainability
• Identify and resolve performance issues, technical debt, and architectural risks
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design to build solutions that serve real user needs
• Mentor developers and actively raise the overall technical bar
• Gradually become the go-to technical authority for the team

• Code quality, stability, and delivery predictability improve
• Technical discussions are grounded in both engineering and product context
• The CEO is largely out of day-to-day engineering decisions, while still involved in major technical bets
• You naturally grow into a Tech Lead role through ownership and trust

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong production experience with React Native
• Solid backend experience with Node.js (NestJS, Express, or similar)
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and React Native
• Experience with modern engineering practices (code reviews, testing, CI/CD)
• Strong understanding of performance, scalability, and maintainability trade-offs
• Product-oriented mindset — you care about why things are built, not just how
• Clear communication skills and an ownership mentality
• Comfortable being hands-on and deeply involved in the codebase

Desired Qualifications

• Prior experience acting as a Tech Lead or technical owner
• Experience improving legacy systems or scaling production applications
• Exposure to mobile performance optimization or complex state management
